This policy explains what information Humanity Islam collects when you use this website, and how it is used. We collect as little as possible.
Reading and downloading books
You can read and download every book without an account. To show how many times a book has been downloaded or read, we count these actions. For this we store the book, the date and time, and an anonymous code that is calculated from your connection and browser and changes every day. We do not store your IP address and we cannot identify you from this code. It is only used to avoid counting the same click twice. If you are signed in, the event is also linked to your account.
Reading progress and prayer times on your device
When you read a book online, the page you reached and your bookmarks are saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can continue later. If you tap “Use my location” for prayer times, your approximate location is used in your browser to calculate the times and is saved only on your device — it is never sent to us.
Free account (optional)
If you create an account we store your name, email address, an encrypted password, the books you save, your bookmarks and reading progress. This is only used to provide your personal library. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page.
Quran requests and contact messages
When you request a Quran or send us a message, we store the details you enter (such as name, email, phone and postal address) so that we can process your request and reply. We do not sell or share these details for marketing. They are only shared with a delivery service when this is needed to send a Quran to you.
Cookies and outside services
We use only the cookies that are needed to keep you signed in. When you press “Share on WhatsApp”, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies.
Your rights and contact
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Please use our contact page.
